Eight players returned yesterday to the tables in the Portomaso Casino to take part in the final day of the Malta Poker Festival €550 Grand Event. Emanuele Onnis from Italy collected the €150,000 first-place prize. We've seen also many Polish players in this tournament, four of them finished in the money.
At the start of yesterday's action, the chip leader was Fabian Gumz from Germany. Finally, he earned €85,000 after losing a heads-up.
Emanuele Onnis achieved the greatest success in his career. Earlier, he collected only a few 3-digit and 4-digit prizes. For Fabian Gumz, it is also his biggest cash ever. He is a little bit more experienced than Onnis, as he won over $300,000 at the live tables.
Decent performance of the Poles
Many Poles took part in this event, with a lot of well-known names such as Monika "HeyMonia" Żukowicz, a singer Michał Wiśniewski, and our members Ninus and Andrzejeczek. Except for Andrzejeczek, these players together with Rafał Lubczyński cashed this tournament. HeyMonia dominated a group of men, and collected €2,400 after finishing in 31st position. Congratulations!
